This is some of the basic rules for the event, please understand there's consequences if you break one of the rules ahead,

  • Be respectful, No abusive behavior, harrassment, racist remarks, politics talk, ship-shaming, misgendering on purpose, fighting over canon interpretations, bullying of any kind will be tolerated. If you have a major problem with a participant, please let a mod know about it.

  • Don’t start drama, If you have any problem, be sure to tell a mod right away instead of starting an argument. This goes for personal problems with another participant, getting heated up about controversial opinions or head canons, publicly calling out someone’s behavior and so on..

  • NO AI, Please do not use AI in any of the gifts being made including AI for arts, musics, edit , writings etc. Because that would disrespectful for the ones who take their time and efforts to make gifts and ruin the fun. :((

  • This event is a SFW event so no NSFW art allowed, but we allow various ships and also 'dark' content to be made like angst, blood, gore theme. Of course, we'll do our best to make sure you’re paired with a target whose request you’ll be comfortable making it!

  • Communication is key to a great event, Let us know ASAP if you need more time to work on your gift and need an extension, if you have a problem with your target request/s, if there is a conflict between you and another participant… contact one of the mod or send email to [email protected]

  • No spoiling the fun. PLEASE don’t post your target gift anywhere before February 14th. Keep your target name and requests a secret until that date. If you need to ask questions about you target requests, you can ask one of the mod to contact them for you.

  • If Writers want their fic/s be looked over by a beta reader it's allowed, as long as the beta reader is not their target and they won’t share the fic on the server or any other social media site.

  • Be mindful of your target requests and their dislikes/triggers. The last thing we want is for a participant to be triggered by their gift, so be extra careful when making their gift. If you’re unsure of something ask mod to contact them for you. [Or you can ask them as 'anon' if they have a tumblr.]

  • Do not give unsolicited crit to your cupid after receiving your gift/s. That is incredibly rude and will get you banned from future events. If there is an issue with your gift/s, please contact a mod.

  • December 20th to 3rd January --- sign-up period

  • January 3rd to 10th --- mods sort out all the requests

  • (around) January 10th --- assignments are sent out via email

  • January 10th to February 14th --- gift/s making

  • February 14th --- gift/s giving day! 🎁

Here's our most asked questions about this event !

  • What’s is this event about?

  • If you're aware of any 'Secret Santa' events, it takes a similar premise to that ! It's a group event where each participant, called a ‘cupid’, gets assigned another participant, called as their 'target’, and has to make a gift for them. In our event, all participants must give a minimal 3 request ideas for their cupid to choose from. Gift that was allowed to be made are arts , fics, crafts , video / audio , others you can make or do !

  • Wait, Do I have to do all 3 requests?

  • I mean if you are a madlad and have the times to do it, but only 1 gift is required to finish. Having 3 different ideas lets you pick the one you’re most comfortable prompt to work with.

  • I'm interested ! How do we apply for this event ?

  • Application on our event starting on 20th December and end on 3rd January , We will let you know when it's open ! As for the step we do know it will be sending us email with a specific title code that we already decided on and we will reply your email back with a form you can fill in !

  • Is there any minimum age requirement to join?

  • As of minimum age we do keep it at minimum 13 years old following discord age rule. So we do suggest if you own a nsfw account to not promote yourself in intro / be aware that there's also minor joining the event.

  • I am not into shipping characters together :( , Are the requests HAVE to be romantic shipping ?

  • Although our event is focused on Valentine themed. Doesn't mean you have to make a ship request ! You're allowed to ask for platonic relationship request or just a solo character request is just fine ~

  • Are OCs and AU are allowed?

  • Yes they are, as long as they belong to you. Any AU related to YTTD characters is also fine as long as the creator has given permission to make content for that AU specifically.

  • Can I add my own OC /references of other characters in my gift for my target ?

  • No, We prefer you stick by the prompts given from your target. But, IF you really know the person well enough that you think it be ok to do this, sure go for it!

  • Are we allowed to ask for a gift from a different fandom?

  • Unfortunately, this event focuses on YTTD focus only, and we do not currently allow requests for other fandoms. Maybe if this event went well we'll make multifandom ones in the future ! or stay in YTTD bubbles.

  • What should I do if I have a question about my target requests?

  • You can send your question/s to us mods DM us directly on discord or send us an email at [email protected] so we can pass them to your target. We will let you know about their reply after.
